No hype... it's a fact. January 4th, World Hypnotism Day has become the single biggest hypnosis event with professional hypnotists around the world spreading the word about the truth and benefits of hypnotism to the public.

Free lectures, classes, workshops, radio, television and print interviews and articles. Mayoral proclamations and news reports are even a part of this mass movement. Hypnotists who participate in support of World Hypnotism Day have experienced incredible benefits and rewards.
Imagine adding over 100 new clients to your schedule, front page newspaper placement in your town, television coverage, helping more people and creating new contacts for the rest of the year. Yup... they did it again. The Mayor of Williston Park, NY which is on Long Island, has agreed to issue a proclamation for WHD!
Marc Carlin got his Mayor to issue a proclamation for January 4th as World Hypnotism Day. Hypnotists have realized how fun and easy it is to do. Can you imagine the marketing leverage you would get being in your local newspaper with the Mayor as you receive the proclamation? YOU will immediately be the go-to person for hypnosis sessions.

Instead, Nicoli has chosen to play a key role in gently leading a dozen organizations and hundreds of practitioners to use World Hypnotism Day as a forum to better serve humanity and to build respect for the hypnosis profession.
I wonder if any of you know the name Leo Buscaglia. I learned a very powerful thing from Leo and would like to share it today. Leo Buscaglia use to appear on PBS. He had a course at UCLA called Love 101. At 19, he was my real first introduction to seeing the big picture in life and a whole new perspective. As a kid from the inner city streets of Boston, this wasn't exactly a common theme amongst my peers, however it spoke to me loudly.
During one of his PBS presentations Leo talked of his childhood. He was from a traditional Italian family and at dinner his father would ask each of his children, "What did you learn today?" If you didn't come up with something you may have learned at school or some other way, you had to get up, go to the encyclopedia and learn something new.
Now imagine if you learned one new fact each day, how much would that matter? Think back a month, 3 months, last year at this time. If you learned one more thing each day, no matter how simple, what would you know today? My dear friend Ron Eslinger said to me after I mentioned I had so many books I have yet to read that sit in my study, "Tom, I promised myself I would read one page each day. Before I knew it, I was reading all those books I didn't before." Same concept applied... and very effective.
